    Obituary From the Palo Alto Times, 19 May 1958:

    Memorial rites to be conducted for Paul E. Kerr

    Memorial services for Paul E Kerr, 49, until recently printer at the Stanford University Press and a former Woodslde resident, will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m., at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. George Shreve, 20 Berenda Way, Ladera.

    He died Friday in a San Francisco hospital following a two-week illness.

    Mr. Kerr was the owner and publisher of the Anderson Valley News, weekly paper of Shasta County. He had been printer all of his adult life, working for several Midpeninsula newspapers including the Redwood City Tribune and the San Carlos Enquirer. He was a former member of both the Palo Alto and San Mateo County typographical unions. He worked at the Stanford Press from 1948 to 1956. He leaves his wife, Miriam and three children, Janet, 17; David, 13, and Sarah, 5, all of Anderson. His mother, Mrs. E V. Kerr of Redlands, and four sisters also survive. Friends may attend the services tomorrow. The Rev.
