      William Rue, son of Matthew and Mary (Dove) Rue, b. 1742, d. 1822, Revolutionary soldier, Walton's Troop, Light Dragoons, Monmouth County, NJ, married about 1766 Nellie Covenhoven. His name ws changed to Rue and her name to Conover about 1770. Both are buried in the churchyard of the Old Tennent Church, Crambury, NJ. Nellie Covenhoven, daughter of William P. and Mary (Colyer) Covenhoven, was born March 31, 1742 and died 1811. Their children were: Matthew, bpt. July 30, 1763, md. ELiza Bowers; Samuel, bpt. Nov 24, 1765; William, bpt. Jun 7, 1767, d. Dec 29, 1848, md Rebecca Holman Dec 8, 1796, she died Aug 12 1871, aged 94 yrs 2 mos 24 days, both b. Perrinville, NJ; Mary (or Margaret), bpt.
