J. A. EBI, STRICKEN AT WORK, DIES
J. A. Ebi, well-known Hanford master plumber and contractor, died from a sudden heart attack at 11 o'clock this morning. He was working in his shop at 214 N. Irwin street when the end came.
His death was a shock to friends and associates. Although he complained of stomach pains today, he was considered in good health.
A native of Hollister, Mr. Ebi was born August 3, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Ebi of that city. He came to Hanford approximately 35 years ago and became associated with the Horlock-Clow firm in this city as plumbing foreman, in which capacity he served for many years.
Three years ago, he associated with Charles A. Quinlan in the plumbing firm of Ebi & Quinlan.
He is survived by his parents who reside in Hollister; his wife, Mrs. Selma Ebi; a son, Earl Ebi of Chicago, Ill.: a daughter, Mrs. Frank Coen of Roseburg, Ore.; and a brother, Albin D. Ebi of Hollister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in the chapel of the Peoples Undertaking Parlors..

Funeral services for James Archer Ebi, prominent Hanford plumber who died suddenly in his shop Friday, will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in the chapel of the Peoples Undertaking Parlors. Rev Austin B Dickerson will officiate. Services will also be held at the Black and Cooper Mortuary in Hollister at 3 o'clock in the afternoon with interment to follow in the I.O.O.F.
