      THE engagement of Miss Anna Kirk Valentine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Valentine, of in St. Mark's avenue, to Mr. James Willits, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick E. Willits, of Glen Cove, Long Island, was anuounced this week. Miss Valentine is a granddaughter of the late Samuel K. Valentine, of Clinton street, and on her mother's side of the late Elias Lewis, junior, well-known as a Brooklyn merchant and scholar. Her sister, Miss Mary Lewis Valentine, it will be recalled, married Mr. Andrew Mayer, junior, of this borough, and another sister is Miss Florence Nightingale Valentine. The Valentines are an old Quaker family identified with the early history of Long Island. [2]
