  Notes	Per a court item in the Osceola Advance, Osceola, MO, Edward filed suit for divorce against Catharine in absentia. Catharine was not living in Missouri, and was presumably still in Indiana. The suit claimed Catharine had abandoned Edward, and was committing adultery with numerous men. This would align with another item from The Republic, Columbus, IN, in which Catharine Stewart has filed suit for $500 against Andrew Ferrell for bastardy. No ruling was reported in the paper that I can find. From Graves Family History: In 1870, Catherine and Edward lived in Columbus, IN, next door to Catherine's aunt Mary (Graves) McFall. They had 3 daughters then. In the 1880 census, Catherine was shown as divorced, head of household, with 3 of her 4 daughters and 2 sons with her. The oldest daughter Jennie or Janie was living with her grandmother Jane (McKibbon) Graves. [2, 5, 6]
