    Miss Anna Byrne Is Called Away

    Miss Anna M. Byrne was called away by death this morning at her home, 32 King street, after an illness of a month.

    The deceased, who was born in Rock Island, Ill., fifty-eight years ago, had been resident here for the past three years, living with her sisters, the Misses Clara and Josephine Byrne, and previous to that had made several visits to Santa Cruz from her home in Jackson, Mich. Miss Byrne was a member of the Baptist church here and one of its regular attendants.

    She is survived by several brothers and sisters, as follows: Walter and George Byrne, the local hardware merchants, and the Misses Josephine and Clara Byrne, all of Santa Cruz; Robert Byrne of Florida, and Miss Susan Byrne, a teacher of St. Cloud, Minn.

    The body will be shipped to Jackson, Mich., and funeral services will be announced later.   [5
