    Funeral services are pending for Mrs, Flora Katherine (Kate) Dani, 85, pioneer resident of the Big Sur country. She was the last of eight children born to Michael and Bargbara Pfeiffer, for whom the Point and State Park are named. The parents of Mr, and Mrs, Dani came to establish their ranch at Sycamore canyon in 1869. Big Sur country was almost inaccessible; sons eventually added to their properties with homesteaded acreage
    Kate Dani was bom at Pfieffcr Point Aug. 7, 1876, later marrying Alvin Dani, a member of the pioneer cattle ranching family of the Southern coastal area. She spent all her life In the Big Sur. Her husband passed away in 1949.
    Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John Katherine Brazil, 90 Monterey road, Salinas; Mrs. Margaret Brazil of the coast route, and Mrs. Helen Howells, San Jose; three sons, Albert and Donald Dani of King City and Stanley Dani of Big Sur, a step-daughter, Mrs. Electa Grimes of the coast route, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
    Mrs. Dani's body is at Dorney and Farlinger Memorial chapel in Monterey. Time of rites is pending the arrival of relatives.
