Text	BAY SHORE, Aug. 2.-The remains of Capt. Joel Furman, a well-known Blue Point yacht captain, were brought ashore yesterday from Fire Island, where he died very suddenly a few hours previous. He was going to his room in the Surf Hotel when he was seized with heart failure and died. The deceased was 72 years of age and a native of the vicinity of Blue Point. He had long followed the water for a living and was widely known as a yacht captain. Four sons, Charles, Joel, jr., and practicing dentists. Brooklyn and Patchogue. and George N., A well-known member of the Suffolk County bar, and two daughters, Mrs. Kate Valentine and Miss Lila Furman, a school teacher, besides a widow. survive him. The remains were taken to Patchogue for interment.
