    Wife Preferred It to Company of Her Mate CHICAGO, June 26.—Charles Fernald, assistant cashier of a Chicago bank. today obtained a divorce from Mrs. Bessie Swift Fernald. daughter of Louis F. Swift, president of Swift & Co., on the ground of desertion. Her preference for European travel to the society of her husband led to the separation, according to the testimony of Fernald before Judge Brentac.
