    Text Miss Jean Eleanor Valentine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Valentine of 108 Jayne Avenue, Patchogue, became the birde of Ronald L. Ward, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Leslie Ward of Patterson, at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Patchogue Congregational Church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Stuart A. Van Cott, pastor, and the Rev. Roger Leonard of Upper Red Hook, Miss Edna Jackson organist, play the traditional wedding selections.

    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line ivory floor-lenght gown of pure silk with an Empire waistline and three-quarter A-line sleeves. The bodice and the hem of the gown were of Venetian lace and her circular train of ivory silk was bordered with lace. Her headpiece was cluster of crystals and pearls which held her French net fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of white giamlellas with baby's breath.

    Mrs. Peter Petty of Patchogue was the matron-of-honor. THe bridesmaids were Mr.s Roy Meuchner of Chatam, Mrs. Robert Liebermann of New York City and Miss Janet Ward of Patterson, a sister of the bride-groom. Their A-line gowns were coral colored, floor-length, fashioned with an Empire wasitline with forest green piping and having flower appliques on the wasitband. They wore matching headpieces with circular veils and carried bouquets of rubum lillies and coral giamiellas.

    James MacGregor of Patterson was the best man. The ushers were Joseph Valentine, Jr., of Patchogue, a brother of the bride; Peter Ward, a brother of the bridegroom, and William White, both of Patterson.

    A reception and buffet was held at the home of the bride's parents, after the ceremony.

    Mr. and Mrs. Ward left for a wedding trip to the Adiondacks and Canada for a wekk. upon their return they will reside at 49-62 A Piedmont Driver, Port Jefferson Station.

    The birde is a graduate of Patchogue High School and State University College at New Paltz. She is presently teaching in the Port Jefferson Station - Terryville Schools.

    The bridegroom is a graduate of Carmel High School, Carmel, and State University College at New Paltz. He is an art teacher in the Bayport - Blue Point School system.
