Mrs. W. C. Byrne received a message last evening announcing the death of her brother-in-law, Hazzard Gragg, a member of one of the pioneer families of Santa Cruz. Private graveside funeral services will be held on Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Drennan plot at the Odd Fellows cemetery.
Mr. Gragg was born in Santa Cruz about 69 years ago and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gragg. His father operated a large planing mill on Pacific avenue opposite Cathcart street.
The Gragg family residence was on Cedar street.
About 40 years ago Mr. Gragg was married to Miss Edith Drennan in this city. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Drennan who were among the early settlers in this community.
They went to San Luis Obispo to reside and for many years they have resided on their ranch on the Los Angeles highway between San Luis Obispo and Pismo. He is survived by his wife and three sisters.Linked to (1) GRAGG, Hazzard James
