Trapnell June 22, 1992 Services for Philip Bruce Scott Trapnell, a civil engineer at the Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Church of the Nativity, Cedarcroft and York roads, Towson. Mr. Trapnell, who was 52, took his own life Thursday at his home in Stoneleigh after a long illness. For the past 11 years, Mr. Trapnell had worked as a civilian employee in the U.S. Army Material Systems Analysis Agency at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Earlier, he worked in the Navy as a systems analyst in China Lake, Calif. Mr. Trapnell was born and raised in Baltimore. He graduated from Baltimore's Polytechnic Institute in 1957 and from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1962. He earned his master's degree from Auburn University in 1970. From 1962 to 1965, Mr. Trapnell served in the Army as an officer in the Corps of Engineers and left with the rank of first lieutenant. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Hildegard Maria Torchalla; a son and daughter, Scott Trapnell Jr. and Audrey Katherine Trapnell, both of Baltimore; a brother, Franklin Waters Trapnell Jr. of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Dorset Waters Trapnell Farmer of Winterville, Ga.; two nieces; and one nephew. The family suggested donations to the Church of the Nativity, 419 Cedarcroft Road, Baltimore 21212, where Mr. Trapnell was a lifelong member.

    • Obituary: From Farmers Advocate in Charles Town: Death of Joseph Trapnell The death of Mr. Joseph Trapnell at his home in Chatham, New Jersey, after a brief illness Sunday night last was a grievous shock to his friends and relatives in Charles Town, where he was born and grew to manhood. His death is the first in a family of seven brothers, sons of the late Joseph Trapnell, of Charles Town. He had been in business in New York since finishing school, and was 52 years of age He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Laura Kennedy, of Charles Town, and seven children.
