A Norfolk native, Frances is survived by three daughters, Fran Gayle of Roanoke, Jane Browne of Lydiate Ash, England, and Emily Trapnell of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons-in-law, Martin Browne and Lee Ensley; grandsons, Rob Gayle and wife, Paige of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Clinton Browne of Jackson, Tennessee, and Holmes Browne of Harrisonburg, Va.; as well as step- granddaughter, Susan Ensley of Pensacola, Fla.
