• Obituary: From Oakland Tribune, 27 Feb 1947 Collier Rites Held Last rites were held today at the Chapel of the Chimes for Richard B. H. Collier, 75, retired salesman and resident of Berkeley for 35 years. Collier succumbed to a long illness at his home, 2611 Benvenue Avenue. He was a native of Canada and a long-time member of Oak Grove Lodge of Masons. Surviving is a widow, Dora D. Collier. Services were conducted from the Ivory Chapel of the Edward E. Niehaus Company, Berkeley From Santa Cruz Sentinel, 04 Mar 1947 Funeral rites were held last week for Richard B. H. Collier, 73, in Berkeley. A member of an early Santa Cruz family, Collier was a brother-in-law of John Drennan Byrne and Mrs. Ryland Drennan of Santa Cruz. Collier was married in Santa Cruz to Miss Dora Drennan of the Samuel Drennan family, who for years resided just west of the First Methodist church on Church street.
